J.A.S.I.N. Fund:
Justices Aiding Students In Need (J.A.S.I.N.) Fund
Ecclesiastes 4:10 “If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”
Purpose: To promote community and encourage the students of Anderson University to recognize needs in their fellow students.
This fund has been created so that students at Anderson University can reach out to other, fellow students in need of modest financial assistance (up to $100). If an AU student notices that another student needs monetary assistance for anything from a plane ticket to get home for the holidays, to a TRI-S trip, they are encouraged to apply for this fund. (Please note that the fund is not limited to these two uses.) Each request will be taken on a case-by-case basis and evaluated by the Student Court. If a need is confirmed and there are adequate funds, the Court will be glad to grant financial assistance.
Request Form:
The J.A.S.I.N. Fund Request Form is to be completed by any student other than the specific student in need, in an attempt to (as stated in our purpose) promote community and to encourage the students of Anderson University to recognize needs in their fellow students. (If you feel that special circumstances exist in which you would need to submit an application for yourself, please call x4221 and ask for the Chief Justice or leave a message on extension 4 at that number.)
Further Requirements and Notes:
1. The available funds are limited and requests will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. We hope that in the years to come, the fund will be increased.
2. We ask that all request submissions be made with at least 10 days notice if possible.
3. All requests will be handled with the utmost discretion and will only be seen by the eyes of the Student Court. (If you wish, you may request that only the Chief Justice be allowed to see the names on the Request Form. Please make a note of this on the form itself.)
4. All awardees need to bring a voided check to Zach Gray, Secretary of Finance in order to have the awarded monies transferred to his/her bank account.
